Today I read an article that says manufacturers are using COP figures wrongly. They don’t quote the temperature at which they were determined.

A percentage figure for efficiency is a more useful figure because it’s less effected by temperature and while; t gas it’s challenges it’s a better indicator. Better still is the number of STCs the government will attribute to the installation of a particular model of heater. The more STCs the more efficient the heater is.
